iglidur Q3E plain bearings | Cost-effective heavy-duty plain bearings for large series production
Q3E plain bearings consist of two components: an inner sliding layer optimized for low wear and friction coefficients, and a specially reinforced outer layer for a mechanically high-strength shell. These plain bearings are manufactured using two-component injection molding, making them extremely cost-effective for series production.
Developed for high loads
Plain bearings made of iglidur Q3E material are suitable for heavy-duty applications in which metal or fiber composite bushings are traditionally used and cost savings are to be achieved, including in the construction and agricultural machinery industries. Their maximum recommended surface pressure is 180 MPa, which means they can cover many heavy-duty applications.
Self-lubricating and maintenance-free
The decisive advantage: the plain bearings do not require regular lubrication, thus saving costs for maintenance and lubricants. Microscopic solid lubricants are integrated into the polymer of the inner layer, which are gradually released during use of the bearing. Expensive damage to shafts and plain bearings due to neglected or improper lubrication is avoided with Q3E plain bearings.
