The proximity switch, also known as a limit or reference switch, is used to limit and protect the travel length of linear axes with a power amplifier combination. They are also indispensable for homing with incremental encoders. The proximity switch with the metal housing and the mechanical changeover contact has two different connection options (flat connector/solder connection): NO or NC contact.
