igubal W300 spherical balls – our standard with high wear resistance

The WKI spherical ball of the K dimensional series, manufactured using the injection moulding process, is made of iglidur W300. This tribologically optimised high-performance polymer offers the greatest resistance to external influences of all iglidur materials and is used as the standard material in our spherical bearings. The material is characterised by high wear resistance, even during long-term use at high speeds, with rough shafts or particularly abrasive environmental media. The spherical balls have low coefficients of friction in dry operation and an extremely low tendency for the stick-slip effect, which is advantageous for applications with low loads and slow movements.

The solid lubricants contained in the material make regular maintenance unnecessary and protect the environment by replacing external lubrication over the entire service life. The spherical design enables movement in multiple directions, thereby offering high flexibility for dynamic applications.

• Advantages: Maintenance-free, lubrication-free, long-lasting, insensitive to dust and dirt, vibration-dampening, good chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, very high resistance to edge pressure, very high shock and impact resistance, very good wear resistance, resistant up to a radiation intensity of 3 · 10²Gy.
