Flange ball bearings of the xiros® series are embedded in an igubal® bearing housing. Both components are made of high-performance plastics, whereby the system is up to 60% lighter and up to 40% more cost-effective than comparable solutions made of metal. The polymer flange ball bearings do not need any lubricating oil or maintenance, and guarantee low-friction and hygienic dry operation. The bearings are corrosion-free, media-resistant and long-lasting, as well as being electrically insulating and optionally non-magnetic. 
The igubal® bearing housings allow a degree of flexibility with regard to assembly. Exact alignment of the bearing housing is not necessary as the spherical ball bearings automatically compensate for any misalignment.
