Intuitive tension monitoring ... with the smart sensor option for autoglide 5

A spring can be retrofitted so that the correct cable tension can be intuitively set.

SMA AG5 smart sensor option With the smart sensor option, the correct cable tension of the autoglide 5 can be easily set.
Carrying energy safely over long distances at a cost-effective price - that's the autoglide 5. The autoglide 5 energy chain system is designed especially for horizontal use in material handling and on crane systems. The energy supply system is quick to install as it requires no guide trough. Instead, it runs on a steel cable gripped by the e-chain contour.

And that's what this novelty, the AG5 smart sensor option, is all about. This is installed on the rope at the end of the travel and serves as a cable tension indicator so that the correct cable tension can be set intuitively.

How does it work?

The metal rope included in delivery is stretched across the floor. Alternatively, guidance via a plastic rope or a profile is also possible. The e-chain can move safely on a cable. The underside of the chain links has a guide element in the middle, so that the energy chain can rest safely on the rope. The autoglide elements ensure wear-resistant and precise rolling of the upper run of the chain.
